Is nearbygames free to use?
Yes. Browsing the map, hosting free games and joining free games cost nothing. Paid games are for splitting a court or turf booking — you pay your share plus a small platform fee (5%, minimum ₹5, maximum ₹50).
What's the difference between free and paid games?
Free games are a request: you ask to join and the host decides. Paid games are a transaction: you pay your share and you're in immediately, with no approval step — the payment already did the vetting.
Can other players see where I live?
No. Your exact location is never shown to anyone. Other players only ever see a rounded distance, like “400 m away”. The neighbourhood you save is rounded to about 100 m and is visible only to you.
Do I need an account to find games?
No — anyone can open the map and browse games nearby. You sign in with a one-time code (no passwords) when you want to ask to join, pay for a spot or host.
How do I host a game?
Tap “Start a game”, pick the sport, drop a pin on the exact spot, set the time and how many players you need, and choose free or paid. It appears on the map for everyone nearby within seconds.
What happens if a host cancels a paid game?
Everyone in the game is notified, and anyone who paid through the wallet, UPI or card is refunded in full to their nearbygames wallet.
